Edson July 20, 2008 | hi, i have a vaio VGN-FJ250P but it doesnt turn on when i plug it theres a non-stoping little sound (a bip) coming from the mainboard… It doesn't give me a chance to do anything. I would definitely try replacing the keyboard first. http://advancedcomputech.com/windows-xp/can-t-install-my-win-service-pack-3-update.html
I was really hoping to find the VGN-NS service manual. Although the laptop is old, whenever I go to my mothers house I still use it, doing so now (ubuntu and xp). Thank you in advance! I went to the Sony site and downloaded SATA driver for clean XP installation. http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f10/windows-xp-service-pack-3-wont-install-on-my-vaio-pcg-k33-385072.html
Peedy February 9, 2009 | BLESS! So I went to that site and realized that it accomplishes pretty much what slipstreaming does, except seemingly (at least for me) less complicated. Please ensure that you create a new thread in the Virus Help Forum; not back here in this one. Reconnect the cable.

However, when I followed your clues and checked both the motherboard and cooling fan area, I found out something interesting. Ash February 8, 2009 | Hi, I ended up unseating my cpu when "fixing" my frv27. check over here m 0 l acerace November 8, 2011 12:48:31 AM Oh, thanks for the info WR2.
piccolo March 22, 2011 | My keyboard is nonfunctional after spoiling some water across it:(. I know the flexi mylar ribbon cable is not repairable but it must be replaceable… where can a guy find one though. Internet webpages wont load, with full wireless signal..
Allan February 15, 2009 | PS: Hey Gary, The CPU & heatsink assembly can be removed pretty easily while at step 8 (a few people posted above about this). I was also thinking about taking the fan and heatsink off and putting one or even two thin copper or aluminum squares with thermal grease between the ATI chip and the Gordon. If the laptop was working before you took it apart, even though it was shutting down after a minute or two.
Carefully reconnected the cable to the motherboard seating as deep as it would go without force. George April 6, 2008 | Really Thanks about this! Will it work if you decrease/increase the LCD screen brightness with Fn+F5/F6 keys? this content Just replaced my screen.
can someone help me? If not, probably you'll have to replace the fan. Generated Wed, 18 Jan 2017 13:57:50 GMT by s_wx1077 (squid/3.5.23) You cannot resolder/replace these chips at home.
Could be bad memory. I get some very close behavior with XP instal CD: First, probably in VGA mode screen is ok and quickly the screen go black. Did you separate the heat sink from the CPU during the laptop disassembly? Thanks a lot guys.

I think you can skip adding them - but keep them handy for later. I suggest you clean it using cotton buds soaked in soapy water then lubricate the fan bearing with castor oil using an injection needle. The screen keeps all bright (full white to gray) flashing. thanks Bunny July 19, 2010 | Hi, I have a VAIO SR VGN-290, do you have any repair manuals for my laptop model??
The power indicator light remains green .But my Lcd screen appears black. When I add RAMs (2×512)all I get is 448 total. The slot where the memory stick goes has a crack in it.
