Hope this helps someone, felt inclined to share. I've tried turning it on and off, resetting the router, turning wireless connectivity on and off, but to no avail. Go into the settings for the network and reinsert the password. Hp Laptop Wont Connect To Wifi try updating the wireless driver and please check the firewall settings .

I had left it downloading some files then went back to it an hour or so later for it to tell me that there is no internet. his comment is here I went through wireless network connection properties and under internet protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4) there isn't any IP address and someone else suggested I put that in manually...is that wise?

I am not a techie and may have messed up the forum question/answer process. If this is the case with the network driver then do it on another PC and pop it on a flash driver.
