Modern versions of Windows should be able to fix this problem for you with the Startup Repair wizard, so you shouldn't actually have to run these commands yourself. I removed my memory cards but heard no beeping sounds, so it could be the processor or the motherboard. If you hear this then your motherboard is fine.
